 Contact These Agencies For Energy Assistance

Michigan residents

  •  Department of Human Services (DHS) State Emergency Relief (SER) fund. Contact your local county DHS office or call the DHS Energy Hotline at 1-800-292-5650.

  •  Home Heating Credit (HHC).  Call 1-800-367-6263 for application forms.

  •  Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). File the EITC form with your income tax form 1040A.

  •  The Heat And Warmth Fund (THAW) 1-800-866-8429.

  •  Contact your local Community Action Agency.

Ohio residents

  •  Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)  1-800-282-0880.

  •  Ohio Energy Credit (OEC) Program for customers 65 and over or disabled.  1-800-282-4310

  •  Energy efficiency programs (614) 466-6797.

  •  Contact your local Community Action Agency.

 Indiana residents
